Fitting, connection and everyday checks

• Confirm that the finger probe matches your Xpod connector and the supplied setup instructions.
• Connect the probe to the Xpod before fitting the complete recording arrangement.
• Fit the sensor according to your sleep provider’s instructions. Avoid excessive tension and route the lead so normal movement does not pull on the connector.
• Keep the cable clear of sharp bends, pinch points and snagging. Check the recorder’s oximetry indicator before the study begins.
• If a connection appears damaged, loose or intermittent, contact our support team rather than forcing the plug or repairing the wiring.

Good setup depends on the full connection chain. Replacing the finger probe will not resolve every recorder or Xpod fault, so describe the symptoms and share clear component photos if you need help identifying the correct replacement.

Cleaning and storage

Use the instructions supplied with this compatible probe for cleaning, reprocessing, permitted chemicals and reuse. Original-system videos explain the recording arrangement but do not establish the cleaning tolerance of an aftermarket accessory. Keep electrical connectors dry, let the probe dry as instructed, and store the cable without tight bends.
