Choose the right CPAP or BiPAP hose

A CPAP hose carries airflow from your therapy device to your mask. The right replacement needs to match the machine connection, supported tube type and mask setup. A lightweight non-heated hose, a heated tube and a short mask connector are different purchases, even when they look similar in a photograph.

Start with the full machine model and the part number on your existing tube. This category also contains oxygen connectors, ventilation circuits and other respiratory accessories; these are not interchangeable with an everyday CPAP hose.

Standard, slim or heated tubing: what is the difference?

Standard non-heated tubing: a replacement airflow hose without electrical heating. Check the length, bore and end connections against the device instructions. A listing described as standard or universal still needs to be checked for your particular setup.

Slim non-heated tubing: a narrower, lightweight hose option for supported machines. The quoted 15 mm or 22 mm size commonly describes the tube bore, not a promise that every connector will fit. Follow the device instructions for selecting the matching tube-type setting where required.

Heated tubing: uses the compatible machine or humidifier connection to warm the tubing. It can help limit condensation as humidified air travels to the mask. Heated hoses are model-specific: the electrical connector and supported climate controls matter as well as the physical fit.

Short tubes, elbows and adapters: replace a particular mask or machine connection. An N20 short tube is not a full-length machine hose, and an AirMini connector is not automatically a complete mask setup pack.

An unavailable model remains labelled as having no in-stock online offer rather than being shown at a misleading purchase price.

Match the hose to your machine

ResMed S9, Air10 and Air11: choose the heated tube designed for that family. ClimateLine for S9, ClimateLineAir for Air10 and ClimateLineAir 11 are separate options. ResMed also lists SlimLine non-heated tubing for S9, Air10 and AirSense 11 devices; confirm the exact device and its tubing setting before use.

Philips DreamStation: distinguish its non-heated 15 mm hose from the DreamStation heated tube. The heated version uses a compatible heated humidifier connection. System One 60 Series and DreamStation Go have separately listed tubing; do not select by Philips branding alone.

AirMini: its tubing and mask connection system require particular attention. Check the supported mask, required connector and humidification arrangement together. A third-party adapter should not be assumed to preserve every feature of the original AirMini setup.

Other CPAP and BiPAP machines: check the manufacturer manual and existing hose before ordering. Pressure-sensing lines, special connectors or a prescribed ventilator circuit can change what is required. Share a photograph of the machine label and both ends of the current tube with our support team if you need help.

Heated tubing, humidity and water in the hose

Condensation, often called rainout, happens when moist therapy air cools in the tube or mask. Compatible heated tubing can help manage this; it does not add water or replace the humidifier. Room temperature, humidity settings and the supported tube controls all affect comfort.

If you also need a reservoir or humidifier module, browse our CPAP and BiPAP humidifiers and water chambers. Match both accessories to the same machine. Follow the manufacturer instructions for comfort settings and ask your care team about persistent dryness or leaks. Keep changes to prescribed treatment pressure with your clinician.

Before ordering a replacement

Check four details: the exact machine model, full-length hose versus mask-side replacement, heated versus non-heated operation, and the tube dimensions or part number. Compare both ends of the old part rather than relying on the product colour.

Confirm what the listing includes. A hose-only purchase does not automatically include a mask, elbow, water chamber, oxygen connector or humidifier. If you use supplemental oxygen or a ventilator, have the required circuit and connection checked by your care team; a generic oxygen connector is not a substitute for that assessment.

Cleaning, inspection and replacement

Follow the cleaning instructions supplied with the exact hose. Heated tubing contains electrical connections and may have different handling requirements from a plain hose. Use the recommended cleaning method, rinse and dry as instructed, and do not connect wet electrical contacts.

Inspect the tubing and cuffs for cracks, holes, loose connections or persistent contamination. Replace damaged tubing and investigate recurring leaks rather than compensating by changing therapy pressure. Avoid sharp bends or routing that pulls on the mask. Replacement timing should follow the manufacturer guidance and the condition of the hose, rather than a single interval for every product.

Frequently asked questions

Are CPAP hoses universal?

Not all hoses are interchangeable. Check the machine model, supported tube type, dimensions and both connections. Heated tubes, AirMini setups and pressure-sensing circuits require particular attention.

What is the difference between 15 mm and 22 mm tubing?

These sizes commonly describe the internal tube diameter. They do not by themselves establish connector compatibility. Use a supported hose and follow the machine instructions for its tube-type setting where applicable.

Do I need a heated CPAP hose?

A compatible heated tube can help reduce condensation when using humidification. Whether it is useful depends on your machine, room conditions and comfort needs. A non-heated hose remains an option where supported by the device.

Will an Air10 heated tube fit AirSense 11?

Choose the model-specific heated tube: ClimateLineAir for the supported Air10 system and ClimateLineAir 11 for the supported Air11 system. Do not treat these as interchangeable.

Is ResMed SlimLine tubing heated?

No. SlimLine is non-heated tubing. ResMed lists it for S9, Air10 and AirSense 11 devices; check the exact device instructions and tube setting.

Does an N20 short tube replace the full CPAP hose?

No. The N20 elbow and short tube are mask-side components. The main hose connecting to the therapy device is a separate part.

Can I use any hose with AirMini?

Check the complete AirMini tubing, connector and supported-mask arrangement. Do not assume a standard hose or third-party adapter provides all features of the original setup.

How much does a CPAP hose cost?

The live price cards and comparison table show current in-stock offers from our store. Prices vary by hose type and model. Open the product page to confirm the chosen item and final checkout total.

When should I replace my CPAP tube?

Inspect it regularly and follow the manufacturer guidance. Cracks, holes, damaged cuffs, persistent leaks or contamination that cannot be removed as instructed are reasons to arrange a replacement or seek support.

Can your support team help check compatibility?

Yes. Share the full machine model, existing tube part number if available, and clear photographs of both connections. Tell us whether you need the main hose, a heated tube or a mask-side connector.
