Whether it is suitable for use while sleeping depends on your doctor's prescribed oxygen therapy and whether you reliably trigger the device's breath-detection system during sleep.

Pulse-dose oxygen concentrators are not suitable for every patient during sleep, because breathing may become shallower during sleep and the device may not detect every breath. If continuous oxygen delivery is required during sleep, a continuous-flow concentrator may be more appropriate.
